Mojave Fish Hatchery

Today we went to the local fish hatchery. We had a good time. Amrika when we first pulled up said, "This looks boring." We weren't there for longer then five minutes and she was running around pointing and excited about all the fish. The boys (yes including Ryan) loved it. Titus was having a good time scaring the fish. He would run up to them and growl as loud as he could and they would jump up in the air. It was pretty funny and for some reason it only worked on Titus. The bottom picture is the best picture I could get of Titus doing it. After we went to Nubi for some frozen yogurt yum! We had a lot of fun.

What the Heck?!

I don't know what happened to my blog but for some reason when I got into it today then all the pictures were gone and it was blank. Very strange but if you want to read what is new, then just click on the side links. I am still trying to figure this out. If anyone know how to fix it let me know.

Oh wow nevermind fixed it! Thanks!

Taste of what's to come

There was nothing to do today so I figured that someone should enjoy it so Maria, Amrika and Davin went to the matinee, while Titus and I were going to stay home and bond. I decided to take out the trash after playing with Titus. It had been raining most of the day but I went out in my shorts, long sleeve shirt and no shoes. I came back to go inside and heard Titus next to the door so I opened it slowly or tried to open it slowly and I thought I had got caught on a foot stool Titus had brought over and then I saw Titus' devilish smile and I knew something was up. Sadly he does that smile a lot, so I knew. Titus had locked me out! Not the bottom lock the dead bolt. I tipped toed around the perimeter of our house trying to find a open door or possibly a window to prop open. My feet started hurting as I was walking over cold, wet gravel. Everything was securely locked, suck! So I thought I will wave someone down explain the situation and have them go over to the realtors office with whom we had rented the house. I decided instead to ask our neighbor for help, he got his tools and tried to open the windowe put couldn't even with screwdrivers so now my feet are freezing it starts to rain and Titus is inside watching us and smiling and laughing (he had been crying holding a beeping phone but he became interested to see if we could get in and he thought it was funny, him and Belle). My neighbor tried prying the wood off of one our doors that has lots of glass panels(at this point it has been almost a half an hour later). I looked in and saw Titus had something in his mouth it was a big magnet in his hand, oh crap Titus has a big magnet in his mouth. So I want to kick in a glass panel on another door that was already cracked by guess who... yep the cute little Titus. I tried to get Titus to quicKly move but he wouldn't so I moved to another part of the door so Titus would follow me and my neighbor broke out the glass and opened the door. As I am later cleaning up all of the glass and putting cardboard over the open spot Titus is smirking because he thought he was so clever. I'm scared for the future truly scared!

Valentine's Day!

This year we started a new tradition on Valentine's Day. Ryan and I normally go out the weekend before Valentine's so we don't have to worry about the crowds so much and then we just do something at home. This year we decided to do a fancy dinner at home. Since Davin and Ryan love crab legs we got some crab legs and Amrika and I ate our chicken, we also had steamed veggies, baked potato, and for dessert we had brownies with ice cream and lots of caramel drizzled over top. We got out our nice china, we didn't take out the nice glasses, and got out our candles. The kids loved it! We have decided we are going to do this every V-Day that is until the kids get older and find their own Valentines to spend the night with :(!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday! I am so proud of my mom. She has always been my best friend. Yes! Even when I was a teenager. She is everything I want to be. Her example has taught me so much in my life. I think the thing that my mom has taught me the most is the importance of church and setting examples. Growing up every Sunday she would make sure that me and my two sisters always made it to church. For years she did this all on her own since my father wasn't a member, through that great example my dad realized how important her religion is to her and ended up getting baptized. She not only is a great mom but a terrific Grandma. She always makes sure she plays with the kids as much as possible when she visits. We LOVE you Mom/Grandma!

Splish! Splash!

This past weekend the weather has been rainy and cold. Most people would complain about this, but I love the rain! I love to watch the rain. I love the smell of rain. I love to drive in the rain. I just love rain! I love this picture because it is exactly what I wish I could do in the rain.

Lucky Number 4

So my sister-in-law tagged me, and this is what you do... You go to your photo files and pick the fourth file and the fourth photo, then tell about it.

Okay so this picture is definitely not one I would ever think of posting, Just because it is so blurry, but I guess that is the name of the game. This is of Davin painting his pillowcase. Amrika did this for one of her family home evenings. It was a really fun activity and of course it is always fun to see what kind of things they paint or draw. I tag Emily, Heather, Jill, and Shelly!

Caught in the Act

The past couple of weeks Ryan and I kept hearing dogs eat Belle's food outside of our door, after everyone is in bed. A couple of days ago Ryan and I were sitting in our room and we heard the little nibbling again so Ryan got up to scare the dog or cat away but found an opossum there instead. He tried to take a picture to show the kids but the flash scared it away. So last night as I was laying in bed listening to Ryan snore I heard the noise again so I looked out and sure enough it was the opossum again so I woke Ryan up to open the door while I hurried and snapped a picture. The kids were so excited to finally see that we weren't just making up stories. Call me naive but I didn't realize we had opossums out in the west.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my dad's birthday so I thought I would give him a little shout out! I truly do believe that I have the greatest parents ever. My dad is the funniest, goofiest, loving, and caring father and grandpa. My dad is my greatest example of Faith. He is not only the best dad but also a terrific grandpa. My kids love to wrestle with grandpa!
When we moved to California my dad and mom came down for two weeks to help us get settled in. When it was time for them to leave I still was having a hard time with the move and was having a hard time telling them goodbye. My dad gave me a hug and said "I am so proud of you." I don't think he knows how much strength those simple words have meant to me. I too am so proud of my dad! Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa!

Davin's Superhero's

Tonight we had the missionaries over for dinner again and actually remembered to take a picture. The one holding Titus is Elder Slaugh he has been here as long as we have. Davin has grown quite attached to him. Elder Orr is the other one and has been here since November he came fresh from the MTC. Davin of course was not in the picture taken mood so he isn't looking to happy. We are so grateful for the missionaries and the example they set for our kids.
